Job description for Security Consultant – Data Protection (Cloud Services)


Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Security Consultant with excellent knowledge in Microsoft Purview to join our growing team. As a Security Consultant, you will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, leveraging your knowledge of Microsoft Purview to deliver solutions and demonstrate the value of Microsoft's data governance, compliance, and management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

·      Participate in Microsoft Purview solution design by working closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements, business needs, and technical challenges.

·      Act as subject matter expert for Microsoft Purview solutions, provide effort estimations for the scope.

·      Oversee the design and delivery of Microsoft Purview implementations, ensuring that the solution is scalable, secure, and aligned with the client’s data governance and compliance requirements.

·      Design solutions using Microsoft Purview and related technologies to address client requirements related to data governance, data classification, compliance, data cataloguing, and data protection.

·      Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept (PoC) sessions to showcase the capabilities of Microsoft Purview and its integration with other Microsoft and third-party technologies.

·      Address customer questions and concerns with technical expertise, including complex integrations, security considerations, and compliance requirements.

·      Produce technical documentation, solution diagrams, and presentations to effectively communicate solution design and value propositions.

·      Lead or participate in internal workshops, webinars, and training sessions to elevate team capabilities in Purview and related technologies.

·      Stay current on industry trends, new features, and product innovations in Microsoft Purview and other related technologies and help to position the company as a thought leader in data governance and compliance.

 

 

Qualifications & Skills

Experience

·      4 to 5 years of experience in Design and deployment of data security solution , with a focus on data governance, compliance, and cloud technologies.

·      Experience working with Microsoft Purview Information Protection and other Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Defender and Identity products.

·      Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and architecture, particularly around data management, security, and compliance.

·      Good knowledge of data governance principles, such as data discovery, classification, lineage, privacy, and retention.

·      Experience with data security standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and how Microsoft Purview helps enforce compliance will be an added value

·      Familiarity with Microsoft Purview's integration with other Azure services, such as Azure Synapse, Power BI, and Azure Data Lake.

·      Familiarity with cloud architecture, cloud security practices, and data integration technologies.

·      SC 400 Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator.
