Security Consultant / Engineer - IGA (Sailpoint IIQ)
Job Description
- We are seeking an IGA Technical Consultant who combines the capabilities of an IGA Engineer and Business Analyst.
- The role requires hands-on expertise in implementing, configuring, and supporting SailPoint IdentityIQ solution across enterprise environments.
- The ideal candidate will have strong technical depth across Linux/Windows platforms, application servers, databases, Active Directory, Exchange, SSO, MFA, and web services, along with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills to deliver end-to-end IGA projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
IGA Implementation & Configuration:
- Deliver end-to-end implementation of IGA solutions, primarily SailPoint IdentityIQ.
- Perform pre-requisite validations including API connectivity, SQL queries, permissions, network access, and system readiness
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch IGA platforms
- Onboard applications using out-of-the-box and custom connectors
- Configure identity lifecycle workflows, provisioning policies, and access models
- Support SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-implementation activities
API & System Integrations:
- Integrate IGA solutions with target systems using REST/SOAP web services
- Perform API testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure data accuracy and functional integrity
- Integrate IGA platforms with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and BMC Helix
- Ensure secure and reliable data exchange across systems
Access Governance & Reviews:
- Configure and manage access reviews/certifications in SailPoint
- Handle end-to-end access review processes, from data extraction to review configuration and completion
- Support audit requirements and access governance controls
Technical Environment Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain IGA components on Linux and Windows environments
- Manage and troubleshoot interactions with application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere)
- Work closely with database systems for integrations and reporting
Data Management & Troubleshooting:
- Develop, test, and optimize SQL queries for integrations, reporting, and issue resolution
- Analyze data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis across systems
Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for IGA-related initiatives
- Coordinate with application owners, infrastructure teams, security operations, and business stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into technical designs and configurations
Communication & Documentation:
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Produce high-quality documentation including
- Technical designs
- Configuration details
- Test plans and results
- Meeting notes and decision logs
- Ensure all project artifacts meet professional and audit-ready documentation standards
Technical Skills & Tools
- Strong understanding of Java fundamentals and version control systems
- Hands-on experience with IGA platforms, APIs, databases, and enterprise infrastructure
- SailPoint IQ certified Engineer
